A typical Sunday worship service includes singing, prayers, responsive readings, confession, an offering, the reading and preaching of God’s Word, and a benediction. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the third Sunday of each month. Some people dress casually for worship at the Presbyterian Church of Wellsville, while others dress more formally, so there’s no need to be self-conscious about your attire. Our worship style is somewhat liturgical (with fixed elements whose content changes each week to keep things fresh), utilizing a blended mix of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs (see the Music link on the left for more details). Children’s activity bags are available to use during the service, and Pastor Tom usually tries to give the children an “assignment” during the sermon to help keep them engaged. We offer Preschool Church for kids under five (dismissed during the sermon portion of the service). The service begins at 10:30am and usually ends around 11:45am. Afterwards, there is a weekly fellowship meal that is open to all. We can't wait to meet you and offer you a warm and friendly welcome!
