New Here? Welcome!

Welcome to the Presbyterian Church of Wellsville! This congregation offers welcome and acceptance in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to people who are weary and seek rest; who mourn and long for comfort; who struggle and desire victory; who sin and need a Savior; who hunger and thirst after righteousness. Experience with us a God of welcome, grace, and living hope.

A typical Sunday worship service includes singing, prayers, responsive readings, confession, an offering, the reading and preaching of God’s Word, and a benediction. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the third Sunday of each month. Some people dress casually for worship at the Presbyterian Church of Wellsville, while others dress more formally, so there’s no need to be self-conscious about your attire. Our worship style is somewhat liturgical (with fixed elements whose content changes each week to keep things fresh), utilizing a blended mix of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs (see the Music link on the left for more details). Children’s activity bags are available to use during the service, and Pastor Tom usually tries to give the children an “assignment” during the sermon to help keep them engaged. We offer nursery care for infants, as well as Toddler Church for kids under five (dismissed part-way into the service). Our Christian Education Classes (Sunday School for children of all ages and Adult Discipleship classes for adults) run from 9:45-10:40 am. The service begins at 11am and usually ends around 12:15. Afterwards, there is a weekly fellowship meal that is open to all. We can't wait to meet you and offer you a warm and friendly welcome!

"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."       -Romans 15:7
