Dave was born in Niagara Falls, NY and spent most of his life on a farm in rural north central Pennsylvania. The extended illness and death of his father when Dave was 13 years old had quite an impact on his early years. Although he grew up in the church it wasn’t until he was in his early twenties that he made a profession of faith while living in the mid-west and working for an automotive parts manufacturer.

Pat was born in Grand Rapids, MI. After the death of her mother when she was three years old, she was raised first by a foster family for four years, then lived with her father and two brothers for ten years before living with her aunt and uncle and their family. She attended Grand Rapids Community College and then Michigan State University to get a degree in elementary education and a specialist degree in reading instruction. Pat was led to accept Christ as her Savior by her Sunday School teacher when she was about twelve years old and was very active in Youth for Christ as a teenager.

Dave and Pat married in Grand Rapids on November 29, 1969, at Central Christian Reformed Church. While living in Elgin, IL, Dave and Pat became members of Westminster Presbyterian Church RPCES where he served as deacon. Returning to the family farm outside Port Allegany, PA in late 1972, Dave and Pat started a small parts distributorship later to become a small parts manufacturing business. In the early eighties Dave and Pat were used of God to start Grace Presbyterian Church in Port Allegany which later daughtered The Presbyterian Church of Wellsville PCA. Dave has been a ruling elder in the PCA since 1983. Dave and Pat have two children Ruth Ann and David Mark, and six grandchildren.

Some of Dave’s special interests besides working at the business and farm are hiking, cycling, snowmobiling spending time with family and studying God’s word. Pat enjoys handcrafts such as knitting and cross stitch as well as reading and baking. She has also enjoyed being involved in the children’s ministries of Wellsville PCA.

Dave and Pat have seen God work throughout their lives and rejoice with the Apostle Paul who says:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, According to the praise of the glory of His grace which He freely bestowed on us In the Beloved. -Ephesians 1:3-6.
