Sunday School
Our Christian Education hour runs from 9:30-10:15 am each Sunday morning, with Sunday School for children of all ages and Adult Discipleship classes for adults. We believe that these classes are essential to helping our members grow spiritually, and we therefore encourage everyone to participate.
For Adults:
We typically offer one or two options for adult classes. This Spring quarter (April – June), we will have one class called: Elijah and Elisha: Faith in the Face of Apostasy. We will study the lives of two prophets, Elijah and Elisha (as recorded in the Biblical books of 1&2 Kings and 1&2 Chronicles), using a book titled Faith in the Face of Apostasy by Raymond Dillard. Dillard will help us with the cultural setting of these stories, but most importantly, he will show us how these two men are part of God’s plan to redeem his people.
For Little Ones:
This program begins with all children in the fellowship hall for opening exercises. During this time the children sing Bible songs, practice for presentations to the congregation and learn about missions through the Compassion International child they sponsor. At approximately 9:45 AM the children move to their classrooms for age appropriate lessons taught by trained volunteers from among the church members. The curriculum used is from Great Commission Publications which presents the story of the gospel as presented throughout the entire Bible.
